Exiles and Wanderers remain in top spot

Following eight weeks of action in the Williamsons Butchers 'A' League, it is the Exiles who currently occupy top spot courtesy of another strong showing, this time against the Muppets, who seem all but doomed to finish in the solitary relegation position. The Legion sit behind them with a game in hand after beating the Ale Stars, but the Golf Club got the better of the Untouchables to end their unbeaten start to the season. Sanday responded to the disappointment of the previous week with a resounding win over Tankerness for whom the honeymoon period in the top division is showing glimpses of being over.

The Wanderers continue to run rampant in the 'B' League, notching up their eight consecutive win to maintain their perfect start, but Quoyburray refuse to be shaken off in the title hunt. The next four teams in the table are really too close to call for the other promotion place at this time, with games in hand about to prove pivotal to how things shape up. Debutants Rough 'n' Rowdy are starting to find their feet, picking up their third win of the season, whilst fellow newcomers East Mainland Young Farmers are finding the going tough, but are showing distinct signs of improvement.

The Festive Open Singles takes place this Friday in the Masonic, along with the annual festive prize draw. This is always one of the best nights of the year and despite being open to all, there are ranking points on offer to any KDDL registered player. Names are to be in by 7.30pm sharp and league members are reminded that any raffle tickets, whether sold or unsold, that are still outstanding need to be returned prior to the draw taking place before the semi-finals.
