The first team cup competitions of the season took place last week and attracted decent turnouts considering how early in the season it is.

In the battle of the 'A' teams, it was the Legion who went home with the Allied Hotels Cup, beating newly promoted Wanderers in the final. In the St.Ola cup for 'B' and 'C' teams, it was defending champions Young Loons who once again emerged victorious, with a final win over Quoyburray. Although players are understandably rusty at this stage, it was encouraging to see the standard of darts on offer already, which bodes well for another fantastic domestic season ahead.

The Jimmy Miller Memorial Open takes place this Friday, the first singles competition of the season which always attracts a good entry of players, followed by a week of cricket format cups for teams and individuals.
