Twenty-six hardy souls braved the Arctic conditions and entered for the Legion Men's Singles.

Most of the top players were there and quite a few went out early on and by finals time, it was the Legion's Ivan Leslie versus the Golf Club's Bruce Moar. Ivan, who was playing great darts, came out on top by 4-0. Of course, both players now travel to Thurso on February 12 for the Northern Area Finals and will be joined by the winners of the doubles which will be played on Friday, in the Royal British Legion, at 7.30pm.

Then it is back to KDDL business, with the Spiers Cup on Monday, January
17, in the Masonic Club. It is for teams of four to six players from both
leagues. Names in by 7.30pm.

The new Pit Stop Cup will be an open event, but only registered players will
receive ranking points.
