Time is running out fast for teams wanting to enter for the new season of the Kirkwall and District Darts League.
Registration books must be returned to the secretary, completed with at least four names by August 14.
The AGM, is on Thursday, August 18, in the Royal British Legion Club, at 8 p.m.
A good turnout is hoped for, and all team captains are requested to attend. Players are also needed to stand for committee duties during the season. Names to the secretary by August 14.
Two days after the AGM, it is the big one, out at the Pickaquoy Centre, for the Orkney Darts Classic, where eight of Orkney’s top players take on eight of the top professionals in the afternoon, with the winners into the finals, at night time.
The K-DDL will be holding a raffle at the Classic. Raffle tickets are on sale from the secretary and tickets for the event are on sale from Grooves.
Back to the registration for the leagues, books are available from the secretary.
Only 15 teams have entered so far, which leaves seven of last year’s teams still to show interest, and no sign of any new teams coming in, but there is still time left. Remember only four players are needed to form a team.
