Ivan Leslie beat Iain Wilkie in the final  of the JW Gray Carling Kirkwall Open to win £500 cash and the cup. Iain won £200. Loosing semi finalists were Stewart Tait and Brian Moar, £50 each. Iain beat Stewart, Brian lost to Ivan. Loosing Quarter finalists were Derek Firth, Brett Dickinson, Robbie Stanger, and Neil 'The Whippet' Croy. Woman's winner was Irene Thomson, KDDL B league winner Brett Dickinson, they both won £100. Over £1000 of prize money was given out on the day.
