Darts continue next Monday, with the Henderson Cup, in the Legion. Names by 7.30 p.m.
It’s the last of the ‘A’ and ‘B’ games, and is for four to six players.
Then, it’s on to the start of the leagues, with the Legion holding top position in the Williamsons ‘A’ League.
Still undefeated after 78 straight wins, they hold a three-point lead over the Golf Club, who they play in the first game.
It may not decide the league, but could go a long way to deciding where it’s going to go.
Not far behind the top two are the Commodores and Untouchables.
At the other end of the table, Shapinsay are the only team with no points and, in their other ventures into the ‘A’ League, Shapinsay have never managed to stay up.
In the Williamsons ‘B’ League, the Nomads hold a narrow lead of two points ahead of the Sands ‘2’ and St Ola, so everything is to play for there.
At the other end, the Sands are on one point, two behind the Bilco Boys.
The next ranking points event is the E. R. & T. Craigie Singles Cup, on Friday, January 24, in the Quoyburray, and there’s a lot to be played for in that event, and the last two; if you discount the top four players, there’s not much to choose between the rest, and there’s still a couple of ‘B’ players in with a big chance of making Shetland.
Cup fixture lists are now up on all noticeboards and are listed on the Orkney darts Facebook page.
