Things are beginning to hot up at the top of the Williamsons A League, still leading are the Legion after inflicting the first defeat of the season on the Commodores 8-4. That leaves the Legion as the only undefeated team in the A League. The Golf Club also lost ground as the Wanderers held them to a 6 all draw but no result from their game versus Sanday. The Golf Club did win their other game 8-4 over the Legion Arrows. The Untouchables are level with the Legion on points but have played a game more. They had a very good 8-4 win over the Untouchables A, who had a 10-2 win over the Nomads, they also got their first points with a 6-6 draw with the Sands 2. Also, getting their first points were the RBLM team after beating the St Ola 9-3. That's a lot of the postponed games played but there are still a couple to play yet.
In the Williamson's B League the Warriors have taken over top spot after a 10-2 defeat of the Vikings who are the only team left with no points. The Masonic crashed to their first defeat going down 7-5 to the Bilco Boys, their first win and the Muppets did very well to hold Quoyburray to a 6-6 draw. No score from Tankerness v Shapinsay game. Big gaps as far as games played are starting to appear in the B League some catching up will have to be done soon.

It's a big night Friday night with the second of the ranking points events it's the Pit Stop singles cup in the Golf Club, names in by 7.30pm and is for registered players only. Then next Saturday it's the Davy cooper memorial open singles in the Masonic, names in by 2.30pm. There will be a committee meeting on Wednesday 4 November in the Masonic at 8pm.
