It's all go for the new season of the Kirkwall district darts league as 22 teams enter for the 50th season, that's one more team than last season, as we welcome the Motorhoose and the Murray Arms, and wish good luck to young boys in the St. Ola B team. It's farewell to the Masonic and RBLM.  

That leaves 11 teams in each league, but with Quoyburray being closed room has to be found for the 3 East teams and with most venues pretty full some fixtures may clash but team captains have to option of swapping home or away fixtures.  

Both leagues have already been drawn up and should be on most notice boards.  

Things will start off with the  AGM on August 18, in the Legion at 8pm.

First fixture, an A and B cup, is on the Monday August 29 before the Shapinsay Open on Saturday Spetember 3. Shapinsay is not a KDDL competition, but we are happy to support it.

The new committee proposed for the new season is as follows: President - Craig Taylor; Vice president - Robbie Stanger; Treasurer - Davy Henderson; Secretary - Jim Scollie; Members - Stevie Linklater, Ian Linklater, Brian Moar, Robbie Norquoy and Brett Dickinson. The first committee meeting following the AGM  is on Wednesday August 31, in the Masonic at 8pm.
