URGENT: Time is running out quick for teams to enter the new season of the Kirkwall District Darts League.
The closing date is next Thursday, August 3, at 8pm, when the committee of last year will meet to draw up the league fixtures for the 51st season. Secretary Jim Scollie can be contacted on 875740.

At present only 14 teams have entered, and that includes the three new teams from last year — Sanday ‘B’, Masonic, and Streamline, — so there are are still 11 teams from last year to register with only a week to go.

With some of last year’s committee standing down, names for the new committee are required in writing, along with items for the AGM agenda, also in writing.

These must be with the secretary, also by Thursday, August 3, as the committee meet at 8pm in the Masonic that night to help prepare for the new season ahead.

The AGM then takes place on Thursday, August 17, in the Legion at 8pm. All welcome.

Also, some of the teams who have entered are still to announce their home venues, and captains are requested to put their phone numbers on the registration slip. Remember only four players are required to form a team.
