PHOTOGRAPHY IN NOVEMBER

by Tim Wright - 09:56 on 24 November 2011

Eleven turned up at the Doocot today with the sun shining just as we got there.Photos were taken inside and out followed by a rapid drive to Tingwall where ,after a quick squall ,the light was lovely on the creels ,nets, and boats.Fast foward again to Woodwick House to get a few shots before the light went. The rain had made the water a beautiful peaty brown and the waterfalls were working overtime. It started to rain again so tea was taken .And what a tea with cakes ,scones and jam and cream all prepared that day.No wonder the U3A Botanic group are there so often that Effy and Sally are greeted by name ! After making a hefty dent in the in the fare ,we considered the Christmas photos .These were varied in the extreme from elephants to snow scenes to deer in a blizzard. All very well done especially Sally's ,
who had the complete package ready to go, all, except one ,of ideal subjects !
The next meeting is Wed January 25th at 2 pm at Westbank,St Ola.Four members are asked to put together 50 photos max and to have a show max 20 mins each. The subjects are up to you,Holidays, events ,wildlife or nature whatever. Please let me know if you want to do this .I have a couple of people ,Steve and Bunty already undertaking this and Margaret was showing interest too.Anway let me know your plans other wise it will be Windsurfing photos again !
This month's theme is" Winter/Midwinter".No doubt in the next 8 weeks we will have snow at some point.
Keep clicking ,Tim
