In Parliament yesterday the Finance Secretary announced that he will be passing on the guarantees from UK Treasury on EU funding.  This current guarantee covers payments of contracts that are entered into before the UK leaves the EU – even if the payments extend beyond the date of the UKs point of exit.

This suggests that the Local Action Group will be able to make decisions on applications and provide offers of grant to successful projects after the UK Chancellor’s Autumn Statement on 23 November 2016.  However, there is a caveat that the Scottish Government are seeking clarity around some aspects on the guarantee.
