Walk Round Hoxa
Before the Annual General Meeting on 6 June 2011, members of OLAF went on a Walk round Hoxa Head. The walk was organised and led by Bill Jenman, a recently appointed Project Officer with Scapa Flow Landscape Partnership Scheme.

The significance of the site and remaining structures was well described by Bill and the only regret was that we had to be at the Burray Hall in time for the AGM. The walk had taken one hour and fifteen minutes and, especially on such a beautiful evening, much longer could have been spent on the walk.
It is very easy to get to the start of this walk. When you have reached St Margaret's Hope, follow the signs for the Hoxa Gallery - in itself a treat not to be missed. Just one half a mile after the Gallery there is a small car park where you can leave your car. There is much to be seen on this walk - the memorablia for two World Wars, many birds and wild flowers.
