Forum

The Forum is a group for children in P5-P7 which meets fortnightly on Sunday evenings to learn about God’s love in many ways and explore various issues such as Fairtrade and Christian Aid. We have looked at Advent, Christmas, Candlemas, Lent, Easter, Pentecost, Trinity Sunday and Harvest.  In addition we have covered topics of Friendship, Teamwork, Peace, Fruits of the Spirit, Creation, God’s Promises, Seasons and Heroes of the Bible.

Each meeting the theme is explored through crafts, activities and challenges.  Each child contributes in some way to the running of the meeting by carrying out various tasks.  This includes bringing some food to share for supper each week    – a time for the children to socialise and enjoy fellowship together.  Other responsibilities include setting up, clearing away, maintaining the equipment for the Forum, saying grace before supper and leading prayers at the end of the meeting.
